About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Python Full Stack Developer with 1–2 years of professional experience to join the engineering team of a captive R&D center of a leading German automotive OEM in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing web applications using Python, PostgreSQL, and Vue.js 3, with a strong interest in building scalable, reliable, and user-friendly applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using Python.
• Build responsive and interactive user interfaces using Vue.js 3.
• Design, develop, and optimize database queries and schemas using PostgreSQL.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend REST APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
• Troubleshoot production and application issues and contribute to continuous improvements.
• Work in an Agile development environment.

Required Skills

Backend

• Strong programming knowledge in Python.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
• Familiarity with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

Frontend

• Hands-on experience with Vue.js 3.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Understanding of Vue 3 concepts such as Components, Composition API, Props, Events, and State Management.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs.

Database

• Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Ability to write SQL queries, joins, subqueries, and database operations.
• Understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.

Development Practices

• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

Good to Have

• Experience with FastAPI or Django REST Framework.
• Knowledge of Docker/containerization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to automotive software development or engineering applications.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

1–2 years of professional software development experience, preferably with hands-on experience across both frontend and backend development.
