A leading German automotive parts supplier is looking for an experienced Head of Test Equipment Technology to lead the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of test equipment and related software.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in the automotive domain, embedded testing, test system development, and technical team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and drive test concepts, including test models, test setups, simulations, and test circuits for components, sub-assemblies, devices, and complete systems.
• Support the creation and review of technical requirement specifications and test specifications.
• Supervise the development and implementation of test systems using standardized components.
• Ensure the creation, maintenance, and timely updating of all relevant technical documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and cost-reduction activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders across different regions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members based on their skills, qualifications, and organizational requirements.
• Guide and support employees in completing function-related tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Participate in recruitment activities and contribute to team performance management, employee evaluations, and competency development.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industrial safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
• Take ownership of additional responsibilities relevant to the position when required.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. degree in Electronics, Electrical, Automotive, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• More than 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in the automotive domain and/or embedded testing.
• Experience in test equipment development, test systems, test concepts, simulations, or related technologies.
• Strong technical leadership and team-management capabilities.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams.
