Position Summary

Times Network is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Management Trainee – Government Business to join its Government Business team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for MBA graduates to gain hands-on experience in government relations, media sales support, campaign management, business development, client servicing, and revenue operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with government departments, ministries, state governments, public sector undertakings (PSUs), advertising agencies, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of government advertising campaigns and business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Government Client Coordination

• Coordinate with Government Departments, Ministries, State Governments, and government agencies for advertising opportunities and campaign execution.
• Follow up on Release Orders (ROs), approvals, documentation, and payment-related requirements.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with government stakeholders and agencies.
• Support client servicing activities to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Campaign Execution & Operations

• Coordinate with the Ad Operations (AdOps) team for campaign planning, execution, monitoring, and timely delivery.
• Track campaign performance and ensure adherence to agreed timelines and deliverables.
• Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams to address operational requirements and campaign updates.
• Ensure smooth execution of government advertising campaigns across multiple platforms.

Billing & Revenue Operations

• Support the end-to-end billing process by coordinating with Finance and Operations teams.
• Ensure timely submission of invoices, supporting documents, and payment-related records.
• Track billing status, outstanding payments, and revenue collections.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to client accounts and campaign billing.

Business Development

• Identify potential opportunities in untapped states and government sectors.
• Conduct market research to understand government advertising trends and emerging opportunities.
• Prepare client databases and prospect lists to support business expansion efforts.
• Assist in outreach initiatives and relationship-building activities with prospective clients.

PSU Relationship Management

• Coordinate with Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) to identify advertising and branding opportunities.
• Support proposal submissions, presentations, and client engagement activities.
• Maintain regular communication with PSU stakeholders to strengthen business relationships.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports and campaign trackers.
• Monitor and update:
  • Campaign Status Reports
  • Billing Status Reports
  • Release Order (RO) Trackers
  • Client Databases
  • Revenue Reports
• Ensure proper documentation and record management for all government business activities.

Internal Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Legal, Ad Operations, and Business teams.
• Ensure seamless coordination across departments for project execution.
• Assist in resolving operational challenges through proactive communication and follow-ups.
• Support the Government Business team in achieving business objectives and revenue targets.

Proposal & Presentation Support

• Prepare client presentations, business proposals, commercial documents, agreements, and reports.
• Support senior team members during client meetings and business discussions.
• Assist in developing customized solutions and campaign recommendations for government clients.
