What You Can Look Forward to as a C++ Developer

• End-to-End SDLC: Analyze system and software requirements, maintain traceability, and develop robust embedded software for applications using C++. Scope covers requirement analysis, implementation, unit verification, and qualification testing.

• Architecture & Optimization: Design, implement, review, and optimize reusable software components while simplifying complex architectures to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Protocol & Hardware Integration: Develop and validate communication features based on CAN, J1939, UDS, and related Marine protocols, including effective debugging of software–hardware interactions.

• Quality & Verification: Perform code reviews, static analysis, unit testing, and SIL testing. Investigate defects and ensure compliance with defined quality standards and zero-defect delivery objectives.

• Build & Automation: Maintain build, integration, and configuration environments, including CI pipelines, Git/Conan packages, and release artifacts; actively contribute to build and test automation.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with system, software, test, and global engineering teams; provide technical guidance, support architecture decisions, and take ownership of assigned software features through the complete V-model lifecycle.

Your Profile as a C++ Developer

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent domain experience) with 5+ years of embedded C++ software development experience.

• C++ Mastery: Strong hands-on expertise in C++11 (mandatory), with working knowledge of C++14/C++17, object-oriented design, design patterns, and software architecture.

• Protocols & Domain: Experience with embedded communication protocols, particularly CAN, J1939, and UDS; knowledge of NMEA and Marine systems is desirable.

• Core Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of compiler and linker behavior, memory management, build systems, embedded debugging, system-level optimization, and RTOS concepts.

• Quality & Testing: Experience in unit testing, static analysis, CI-compatible builds, SIL/virtual ECU environments, and defect-prevention practices, with a strong focus on software quality.

• Tooling & Soft Skills: Working knowledge of tools such as IBM DOORS, JIRA, Git/Conan, ClearCase, SVN, Integrity, Visual Studio, CANape, and CANalyzer, combined with strong analytical, technical-leadership, and communication skills.
