Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Tester to join our team in Hatfield. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify defects, mitigate risks, and ensure software solutions meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain effective test cases and test data.
• Analyze user stories, use cases, and requirements for validity and feasibility.
• Review and evaluate system specifications.
• Perform testing according to defined procedures and standards.
• Execute System, Integration, Regression, and other testing activities.
• Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation scripts where required.
• Detect, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Execute manual and automated test cases and analyze results.
• Create and maintain testing documentation, logs, and defect reports.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile software lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and software quality standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across all deliverables.
• Provide timely support, documentation, and testing-related solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Infotainment software testing experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• ISTQB Foundation Test Analyst certification or equivalent knowledge.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with manual and automated testing techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently when required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to improvement.
