About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Infotainment System Engineer to drive the integration, validation, and lifecycle management of next-generation In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-level requirements and flawless in-vehicle execution, working closely with global Tier-1 suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements & Architecture: Support system requirements definition, functional allocation, and end-to-end traceability across complex automotive programs.

• Feature Integration: Oversee the integration of core infotainment pillars, including HMI, multimedia, advanced connectivity, and smartphone projection.

• Supplier Coordination: Act as a technical point of contact for Tier-1 suppliers to systematically track, debug, and resolve software and integration anomalies.

• Validation & Testing: Support the development and functional validation of key features (Media, Bluetooth, Navigation, Tuner, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, and Voice/HMI) across both test benches and test vehicles.

• Performance Benchmarking: Conduct critical performance checks, including boot-time optimization, system stability, and resource utilization analysis.

• Triage & Defect Management: Lead issue tracking, capture logs, and perform rigorous root-cause analysis for system-level defects.

• Process Compliance: Ensure all engineering deliverables adhere to OEM processes, ASPICE standards, and functional safety guidelines while maintaining meticulous documentation.

Required Technical Skills

• IVI Architecture: Comprehensive understanding of modern in-vehicle infotainment system architecture.

• OS Platforms: Hands-on experience or deep exposure to Android Automotive (AAOS), Embedded Linux, or QNX.

• Connectivity Protocols: Solid grasp of HMI behaviors and connectivity features (Bluetooth, USB, Wi-Fi, and Projection technologies).

• Automotive Networks: Familiarity with vehicle network protocols such as CAN, CAN-FD, and Automotive Ethernet.

• Quality Standards: Strong awareness of ASPICE frameworks and agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications & Tools

• Tools/Tech: Infotainment testing tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, ADB, Wireshark, etc.).

• Experience: Prior experience working directly within an OEM or Tier-1 supplier environment.

• Field Exposure: Vehicle-level testing experience, Start of Production (SOP) launch support, and basic exposure to automotive Diagnostics (UDS) and Cybersecurity (ISO 21434).

• Education: BE / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or Automotive Engineering.
